Finntroll – ‘Solsagan’ Making Of Video
With their new album ‘Nifelvind’ only about two and a half months away Finntroll have released a behind the scenes video for thier newest video ‘Solsagan’ before actually releasing the video itself.
This seems strange but when you watch it, the video seems a lot more like a preview than an actual ‘making of video’, previewing the bands costumes, the scenery and what I think must be the song itself, Solsagan. From what we can hear so far from the video it sounds good, continuing in the same vein as their last album ‘Ur Jordens Djup’ which incorporated a lot more elements of Black Metal like, for example, the vocal style. It still has the distinctly Folk Metal feel that we’re used to from Finntroll though.
They’re also touring from February 12th onwards headlining the Paganfest tour which also includes Eluveitie, Dornenreich, Varg and Arkona (listings for live shows can be found here). It’s a shame they still haven’t released the DVD they filmed from their last tour. I was actually at the show they filmed for that DVD which was awesome, and hope to be able to see them again on this tour.

Finland: 17th February
Germany: 19th February
UK and the rest of Europe: 22nd February
North America: 9th March
